HIJRAH WITH A LOT OF REASONS

Hijrah! This word is so familiar to us lately, especially on social media. For you who always stay up to date, I am sure you knew about actresses or public figures who wear hijab and say they are in the process of Hijrah. Some of them are still shy to wear hijab, and others are already wearing a Syar’i hijab. Alhamdulillah. Even some of them are converting to Islam. Masha Allah.

Everybody has their own reason, there are those who experienced something that gives a big impact on their life or others who wants to get a life partner. Wallahu A’lam

If someone criticizes us because we Hijrah not because of Allah but for ‘something we want’, like following our favorite artist, or because of our best friend has Hijrah and we just feel awkward if we don’t wear hijab, or because of our parents ask us to wear a hijab and blah blah blah… SO WHAT’S WRONG?!

Don’t take it seriously, just pray for them may Allah give them guidance so they will Hijrah too.

Our faith is not steady, just like playing kite we have to always control so it can fly. If we do Hijrah to get our life partner, it’s okay, isn’t a good man for a good woman? It’s hard to find someone who sholeh/sholehah (read: religious person) as we want if we haven’t Hijrah yet.

When we are on our process to Hijrah, don’t we get closer to Allah than before? Maybe at the beginning, we have other reasons, but the closer we are to Allah the more taqwa we are.

When our faith is getting stronger we are slowly changing our reason and then our first reason is not important anymore, because we already feel the sweetness of Iman.
